Rennes-le-Château, is one of the most mysterious places in the world with enough intrigue, church conspiracy and rumours of a sacred treasure to become a catalyst for many books and theories concerning the small town in Southern France including the book 'The DaVinci Code' by Dan Brown. Part of the treasure of this area appears to be in the form of large megalithic ruins that have been mapped throughout the region but never fully documented and investigated. Many of these features are visible from the Magdala tower (atop Rennes) which may have been built with funds acquired by the revelation of a great treasure rumoured to have been found by a local parish priest Berenger Sauniere. At a certain time of day many of these stone megaliths appear to be a bluish color and may refer to the mystery of the blue apples, a key phrase associated with the deciphering of parchments that could lead to the secret treasure of Rennes-le-Château. The stone 'wall' features are of megalithic proportions with many areas almost completely buried.
In 1932 the famous psychic Edgar Cayce stated:
"The position - the continent of Atlantis occupied is between the Gulf of Mexico on the one hand and the Mediterranean upon the other. Evidences of this lost civilization are to be found in the Pyrenees and Morocco, British Honduras, Yucatan and America. There are some protruding portions that must have at one time or another been a portion of this great continent. The British West Indies, or the Bahamas, are a portion of same that may be seen in the present. If the geological survey would be made in some of these especially, or notably in Bimini and in the Gulf Stream through this vicinity, these may be even yet determined".
Local people refer to a certain area nearby as 'The Gates of Atlantis' and the ancient Phoenicians associated the Pyrenees mountains with Titan the legendary ruler of Atlantis. This presentation includes unexplained, stone features that are evidence of an ancient lost civilization hidden within the mountains of France.
